Authentication Templates

Authentication templates help businesses verify users through one-time passcodes, which are typically 4-8 digit alphanumeric codes. These templates can be used at various stages of the login process, such as account verification, recovery, or integrity checks.

These templates are subject to strict regulations. To qualify as an authentication template, businesses must:

• Utilize WhatsApp’s pre-approved authentication message formats, including optional features like security disclaimers and expiry warnings.
• Implement a one-time password button (either copy-code or one-tap).
• Adhere to content restrictions: URLs, media, and emojis are prohibited in authentication templates. Parameters also have a length restriction of 15 characters.
